  • No recipient given: priced for the user's own Stellar wallet.
  • Assumes the recipient's Stellar account has a USDC trustline (required).
  • Moving USDC to your own Stellar wallet for the first time adds a one-time Stellar setup cost (1.5 XLM of account and USDC trustline reserves plus the network fee, at the live XLM price) to the fee. It's shown in the app's quote before you confirm.
  • Fees track live gas and Circle fees; the final quote is shown in the app before the user confirms.

~2 min (Fast Transfer) is the app's estimated end-to-end arrival time, not a measured result from these observations. Circle's published average Fast Transfer attestation from Base is ~8 seconds; destination minting still follows. If Fast Transfer is unavailable, Circle's standard-transfer attestation average is ~15–19 minutes. See Circle's timing methodology.

  2. AttestCircle's attestation service signs the burn.
  3. MintThe same amount of native USDC is minted on Stellar.
More about Base → Stellar

Base supports CCTP V2 Fast Transfer, so Circle attests the burn after soft finality instead of waiting for full finality. If Circle's Fast Transfer allowance is used up, it settles as a standard transfer instead, with Circle's standard attestation average from Base at ~15–19 minutes. From Base to Stellar, USDC typically takes about 2 minutes with Fast Transfer (Circle's average attestation from Base: ~8 seconds), or longer if Circle's Fast Transfer allowance is used up (Circle's standard-transfer attestation average from Base: ~15–19 minutes); our relayer submits the mint on Stellar.

On Base, with your sendstables wallet the fee payment, approval and burn are gas-sponsored, so you don't need any ETH for gas — just the USDC you're sending. If you connect your own EVM wallet instead, it pays the ETH gas for those transactions. Stellar isn't covered by Circle's Forwarding Service, so our relayer submits the mint on Stellar and pays the XLM gas; that cost is included in the quote.

Stellar recipients need a USDC trustline. When you send to someone else's Stellar address it must be an activated G… account that already trusts Circle's USDC; when you first move USDC to your own Stellar wallet, we set it up for you and the one-time setup cost (the XLM reserve for the account and its USDC trustline) is added to that transfer's fee, shown before you confirm.

CCTP burns and re-mints instead of using a pool, so there's no slippage and no wrapped token. Learn about CCTP.

How to move USDC from Base to Stellar

  1. Sign in. Sign in with a one-time email code; no password is needed. You get a wallet on EVM chains, Solana and Stellar, with no seed phrase.
  2. Have USDC on Base. Deposit USDC on Base or use what's there. In your sendstables wallet you don't need any ETH for gas.
  3. Pick the route. On Swap chains, pick Base → Stellar and enter the amount. To pay someone else, use Send and paste their address.
  4. Review the quote. Check our fee, Circle's fees and the minimum you'll receive. The fee is fixed once you confirm.
  5. Confirm. USDC is burned on Base, Circle attests it, and native USDC is minted on Stellar.

Before you send

  • Stellar needs a G… account and a trustline for Circle’s USDC. A new sendstables Stellar wallet needs a paid one-time setup; another person’s wallet must be ready before sending.
  • Hold native USDC on Base. A token named USDC, USDC.e or a bridged version is not automatically the Circle-issued asset; compare the identifier below.
  • Use the recipient’s Stellar G… account address. Someone else’s account must already be activated and have a trustline for Circle-issued USDC.
  • Sending to an exchange? Check it accepts native USDC deposits on Stellar, and that it doesn't need a memo or tag the form can't add.

How long does it take to move USDC from Base to Stellar?

It typically takes about 2 minutes with Fast Transfer (Circle's average attestation from Base: ~8 seconds), or longer if Circle's Fast Transfer allowance is used up (Circle's standard-transfer attestation average from Base: ~15–19 minutes). Times are estimates.

How much does it cost to bridge USDC from Base to Stellar?

Our fee is 0.05% service charge (min $0.10, no cap) plus operating costs and margin (the cost margin is 30%). Circle adds its Fast Transfer fee from Base: ~1.3 bps (0.013%) when checked. The quote shows our exact fee, Circle's live fee estimate and the guaranteed minimum you'll receive before you sign.

Is the USDC I receive on Stellar native or wrapped?

Native. CCTP burns USDC on Base and Circle mints the same amount on Stellar. No wrapped token, no pool, no slippage.

Do I need ETH on Base or XLM on Stellar for gas?

Not with a sendstables wallet: we sponsor the ETH gas. A connected EVM wallet pays its own ETH gas. Our relayer pays the XLM gas on Stellar.

Can I send USDC from Base to someone else's Stellar address?

Yes. Use the Send tab and paste a Stellar G… account address with a USDC trustline. The Swap tab moves USDC between your own wallets.

Does the Stellar address need a USDC trustline?

Yes. Someone else's Stellar address must be an activated G… account that already trusts Circle's USDC. The first time you move USDC to your own Stellar wallet, we set it up for you and the one-time setup cost (XLM reserve and USDC trustline) is added to that transfer's fee, shown before you confirm.

Is sendstables run by Circle?

No. sendstables is an independent app built on Circle's public CCTP. Circle issues USDC and runs CCTP; we sponsor gas, relay where needed, and charge the fee shown in the quote.

Troubleshooting Base → Stellar

My USDC balance is missing

Check the sending wallet, selected network (Base) and token identifier above. Native USDC on Stellar or another network is a separate balance. If you hold a bridged token, this route does not convert it into native USDC for you.

After a recent deposit, check its confirmation in your wallet’s explorer and refresh the app balance.

The address or destination is rejected

Use the recipient’s Stellar G… account address. Someone else’s account must already be activated and have a trustline for Circle-issued USDC.

Copy it again from the recipient’s wallet, check the full address and confirm the network. Do not use a token contract, mint or issuer address as the recipient.

For another person’s Stellar account, ask them to activate the account and add Circle’s USDC trustline first. For your own new sendstables Stellar wallet, review the one-time setup charge in the quote.

The quote changed or I cannot confirm

Review the refreshed quote and the USDC balance on Base. Network costs and Circle fees can change, and expired quotes cannot be confirmed.

If you connected an external EVM wallet, it also needs ETH on Base for source-chain transactions. A sendstables wallet uses sponsored gas.

If a wallet prompt was rejected, check the app’s transfer status before trying again.

The burn confirmed but USDC has not arrived on Stellar

Open the existing transfer’s status and explorer links. Delivery follows the source burn, Circle’s attestation and the destination mint; a confirmed burn alone does not mean delivery is complete. Use the app’s status or delivery retry controls when offered.

If Fast Transfer is unavailable, Circle’s published standard-transfer attestation average from Base is ~15–19 minutes. Destination minting follows that step; this is an average, not a delivery deadline.

If your own Stellar wallet is waiting for setup, use Set up Stellar on the existing transfer. Its quoted one-time setup is already paid for; you do not need to create a second transfer.

Avoid starting a second transfer to fix a pending one. Circle explains attestation and finality times.

The transfer says delivered, but my wallet does not show USDC

Check the destination transaction and recipient on Stellar. Select Stellar in the receiving wallet and, if needed, add the native USDC token identifier above to its display. For an exchange deposit, its own crediting process may still be pending.

For help, keep the route, source transaction hash, destination hash if available and the status or error message. Never share a seed phrase, private key or sign-in code. Contact sendstables support.
