Swap USDC between chains
Move USDC between any of 27 chains with Circle's CCTP. No wrapped tokens, no pools, and no gas tokens needed in a sendstables wallet.

How swapping chains works
- BurnYour USDC is burned by Circle's CCTP contract on the source chain.
- AttestCircle's attestation service signs the burn.
- MintThe same amount of native USDC is minted on the destination chain.
On chains with CCTP V2 Fast Transfer (Base, Arbitrum, Optimism, Ethereum, Solana and others) this typically takes ~1–2 min. Read the full CCTP guide.
FAQ
What does "swap chains" mean?
It moves your USDC from one blockchain to another while staying in USDC — for example from Base to Solana. Nothing is traded; the USDC is burned on the source chain and minted on the destination by Circle's CCTP.
Is swapping USDC between chains the same as bridging?
It solves the same problem, but instead of locking USDC and issuing a wrapped token, CCTP burns and re-mints native USDC. You never hold a bridged IOU and there's no pool, so there's no slippage.
How long does a cross-chain USDC swap take?
Typically about 1 minute where Circle's Forwarding Service mints on the destination, and about 2 minutes where our relayer does. From Fast Transfer chains, if Circle's Fast Transfer allowance is used up, a transfer settles at standard speed, which can take minutes, or hours on some chains. These are estimates.
What does it cost?
For transfers between chains, our fee is a service charge of 0.05% of the amount (minimum $0.10, no cap), plus our estimated cost for that transfer (sponsored gas, wallet and relaying costs) with a 30% margin. The service charge is $5.00 on $10,000 (0.05%), before operating costs and margin. Sends on the same chain (no bridging) have no percentage: our fee is just that transfer's estimated cost plus a 30% margin, from $0.10. The quote shows our exact fee before you confirm. Circle's Fast Transfer and Forwarding Service fees apply on top where relevant. With your sendstables wallet, gas is sponsored: you don't need any gas tokens. If you connect your own EVM wallet instead, it pays the source-chain gas for its transactions; Solana transactions are sponsored for every wallet. The estimated amount you'll receive and the guaranteed minimum are shown before you sign. Our fee includes a service charge and covers the cost of running sendstables and paying gas on your behalf.
